Halfyear 2010 report

Hi everyone,

Been a while since I updated so here we go. Despite having put in a lot of volume (~200k hands wich is alot for me) 2010 has been pretty avarage money and PTBB wise. Overall I'm up $8k for this year wich is pretty dissapointing and not even close to what I expected when I set my goals for this year.

Overall I have a feeling that the 'games' are getting harder, certainly compared to last year. I'm still playing 100NL en 200NL, hugely overolled I might add (300+ buy ins), so the nosebleeds are still a loooooooooooooooooooong way to go.

I could move up easily bankrollwise but I don't think I have an edge just yet (400Nl+) over the small sample I've played at these stakes. I'm your typical lazy small stakes poker player i.e. I should be working a lot harder at improving my game.

Just for fun I decided to look at an old PT Database containing hands of all the stakes I've played in my 'pokercareer'. Current 100NL en 200NL hands are not included because I started a new DB last year.

Here's a graph

And per stakes

And a blogsaver :)

Bye bye

Ladies and gentlemen : my first official post

So I finally decided to set up a little blog to track my poker progress.

What do you need to know?.

I'm a 30 year old Belgian living in a small village of about 12k peeps. During the day I work as a 'product manager' for a company making and distributing frozen food.

My pokerstory:

Started playing poker in 2005 when the pokerhype just began trying to luckbox in the FPP freerolls on a small independent site called Bugsyclub Poker. Managed to ITM myself a couple of time for 27FPP's wich were worth $0.27 or something like that.

Might not mean much now but at that time it felt a little baller as I wanted to play for real money desperatly without depositing a dime myself.

And that's where it all started and I never looked back since then. I've never had to deposit anything myself. Kept playing on that site untill last year when it went belly up.

Managed to get my money off thanks to stars (about 6k at the time starting from 2NL to 200NL) and it was a blessing in the sky. Since that day I started taking poker more seriously as I HAD to play to be able to cashout.

Overall 2009 was pretty good moneywise for me considering I'm not a mega-grinder (about 30kish hands per month). think I netted about a $16k year.

Anyway this was my first post and hopefully not my last,

Regards Tobin
